“Food service is one of our most booming industries,” said Glenn Freiboth, president of GLC Enterprises, a surveillance equipment company based in Naperville, Ill. “It seems that the restaurant industry, they’re one of the most active businesses as far as needing something to protect themselves.”
While workers in other industries have been on camera for years like banks and convenience stores, in the food service industry, the big push began in the past few years as camera prices dropped to levels low enough restaurant owners to afford.

According to Ald. Ray Suarez (31st) instead of every licensed business open more than 12 hours a day requiring video surveillance cameras he has narrowed his focus to businesses open during the eight-hour of 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. window when most crimes are committed.

A Hidden Camera Can Be Used for Many Purposes Including Catching Abusing Care Givers(a.k.a Nanny’s), Cheating Spouses, Prying Landlords, Thieving Roommates, Employee’s stealing from the cash register.
How do hidden cameras work? There is a small board camera is built into an everyday item. The camera can be wired which means it is connected to the DVR or VCR using a cable. The camera can also be wireless, in this case the camera transmits a signal to a receiver that is connected to the DVR or VCR.
Currently there are many different types of hidden cameras to choose from in every conceivable type of everyday object. Hidden Cameras are very portable…easily moved from room to room or location to location.
While many people place their hidden cameras in the room they want to have surveillance in, they still need to either watch the covert surveillance on the TV or have a VCR hooked up and recording the camera.
But there is a way to add portability to your hidden camera. Simply add a P-10 portable Professional 2.4GHz Receiver & Recorder. This hand held surveillance recorder will scan for the hidden cameras frequency when the camera is turned on. The range is really good too, about 150ft!

By definition, GPS is a network of more than two dozen satellites that orbit the earth and transmit precisely timed signals down to GPS receivers.
Each receiver contains a tiny computer that uses the signals of three or four satellites to determine its location by using latitude, longitude and altitude coordinates that uses a process similar to triangulation.
Receivers can be programmed to calculate the speed and direction of travel as well. The data can be stored in the receiver for download onto a computer later.
For situations where remote access to the information is needed, some receivers can transmit it in real-time using cellular networks or satellite Internet connections.
GPS technology isn’t just for money grubbing bounty hunters and tracking deer’s in the woods.
In fact, some of the things the Global Positioning System is being used for in Canada will surprise you and make you nervous.
Many Private investigators use GPS to track people all over the globe sometimes.

This article explains just a few of the main features of the powerful video surveillance software that comes with the Indoor, Outdoor or Spy Camera Digital Video Surveillance System.
Werks provides a powerful-but-simple interface for managing cameras, recording video, tracking alerts, and configuring remote viewing. Once you learn a few of the basic elements, most operations are easy and intuitive.
TWO OPERATING MODES: FULL AND BACKGROUND
The Werks application has two operating modes: Full and Background. In Full Mode, Werks provides you with a complete Windows interface, making it easy to monitor and manage your video feeds. In Background Mode, Werks closes its Windows interface and displays a small icon in the system tray. While running in Background Mode, Werks continues to record video, using very little CPU. This allows you to use all of your normal applications, even on a minimally configured machine. Background Mode is another great feature of the LukWerks system.

Private Investigators use a variety of Spy Equipment in there investigations and typically use button cameras, hat cameras, screw cameras and a large variety of other hidden recording cameras. These cameras typically transmit there video to recorders that are small enough to fit into a purse or jacket. But now there is a portable video recorder that is small enough to fit into a cigarette pack! Button cameras and other covert surveillance cameras plug directly into it and they require no other power source or cables to power them.
The PV-500-V2 Pro Pocket Hi-Res DVR records on SD cards from 1 to 4Gb. Kit comes complete with extra hi capacity battery, recharger, remote control, playback cables, and carry case. You must purchase an SD card as unit does not come with one.
