Spy Cameras and Hidden Camera most often let you to view surveillance video on your TV or record on your DVR or VCR. There are several methods available but not many people know to make it work with their spy or hidden camera for Internet viewing that are reasonably priced and easy to hook up.

Here we talk about method #2 that will allow you to watch your hidden camera surveillance video over the Internet and will work with any spy cam or hidden camera out there. Not only can you view live spy camera video but you can create scheduled recordings also! You are limited to using one spy or hidden camera though, but it’s a good cheap solution.

Step #1: Use the USB USB PC Video Adapter Dongle also called the DVD Maker which plugs into your PC or Laptop’s USB port for easy installation. The following diagram show how connections are made to the USB adapter. You connect the wireless receiver RCA jacks from your spy or hidden camera to the inputs of the USB adapter through supplied RCA jacks. You will receive the message ‘Found New Hardware’ and brings up an installation dialog. Cancel out of the dialog and insert the software disk into your CD ROM drive. The main menu will appear and click on Install Drivers for the Dongle. Then you install the software called PVR Plus software supplied you can either view live video and audio from your hidden or spy camera or set up scheduled recorders easily. We recommend the Mini Wireless Color Spy Cam that was used for testing this method but it should work with any spy camera or hidden camera. PVR Plus which is the software that comes with the Dongle allows you to set several video input modes. To use it with your spy cam, set the video source to Composite in the PVR Plus settings window.

This article will show you how to watch your nanny, kids, or anyone or anything on your Internet enabled cell phone. Many homeowners request a nannycam to watch over their children when they’re not home. Also business owners want to check up on their workers when away from their business.

First of all you’ll need a Hidden Camera that is contains a LukWerk camera in it. You can get one in several different kinds of everyday ordinary objects like an Air Purifier, Boom Box, DVD Player. The nice part of this hidden camera setup is the fact that you can setup 6 of them in different rooms each watching to make sure your loved ones are save or employees are not stealing from you when you are away. And today most people carry Internet enabled cell phones for easy access. We talk about cell phone and PDA requiements at the bottom. 

The hidden camera you use is very easy to set up. A USB receiver plugs into an AC outlet on one end and a USB drive on the computer on the other. The receiver transfers the digital video from the cameras to the software on your computer, allowing you to view up to six scenes at once from any computer using an ID and password.

The standard Luk cameras that come with the system shoot at an 80-degree angle, while the Hidden Cameras shown at this link captures images at a 70-degree angle. In addition to monitoring camera shots from any computer, the system can send alerts via email or cell phone. The images are displayed at up to 15 fps.

When you enable Remote Viewing, your Werks PC becomes a video server ready to publish video through the secure LukWerks network over the Internet to you, wherever you are. LukWerks intelligently creates the most efficient path through your local routers to your remote device. You connect to your video feed by going to www.wilife.com and logging into your My LukWerks account – using a username and password you set. Once connected to your account, you select the site and cameras you want to view. The LukWerks server then routes a live video feed to your device.

During this process, LukWerks automatically determines your system’s firewall settings and Internet capability in order to stream video to you in the most direct way possible. If Werks cannot find a direct path, we direct the video feed through WiLife’s network to you. We call this mode “Relayed Mode.” In this mode, there is a three-minute time limit. If Werks finds a direct path, you are connected via “Direct Mode.” In Direct Mode, there is no time limit. You can view a video feed for any length of time.

“That’s the third time this week that one of my pictures has gone missing,” Carrie shrieked. John tried to eat his salmon in peace, but his new wife wouldn’t let the subject drop. “I told you that when I moved in with you, we would have to talk about whether Daisy could stay on as our housekeeper.”

“She’s been with me for years,” John replied, “And little Michaela just turned three. It wouldn’t be right.”

“Still,” Carrie said, “you’ve got to do something about this theft. If it’s picture frames today, what will it be tomorrow?”

“I’m still not sure where your picture frames are going,” said John, “but give me one week to prove that Daisy’s innocent. If I’m wrong, I’ll let her go immediately. Deal?”

“Deal,” said Carrie.

John wasn’t rich, but he earned a good living. Before he met Carrie, he hired Daisy to clean up after him for a few hours every day. In fact, it was John’s neat house that got Carrie interested in him in the first place. He was determined to make sure his trusted housekeeper got a fair shake.

The next day, John replaced the DVD Player in the living room with the DVR Hidden Camera.

Many Spy Cams today allow you to view surveillance video on your TV or record on your DVR or an older VCR but there are little know ways to actually watch your spy camera over the Internet that are good and won’t cost you a lot of money.

Here we talk about one method that will allow you to watch your covert surveillance video and audio over the Internet and will work with any spy cam or hidden camera out there. The downside to this method is that you can only watch one spy cam per PC and will not be able to create scheduled recordings of your video surveillance.

Step #1: Use the USB USB Video Adapter for PC also called the DVD Maker which plugs into your PC or Laptop’s USB port for easy installation. The following diagram show how connections are made to the USB adapter. You connect the wireless receiver RCA jacks from your spy camera to the inputs of the USB adapter through supplied RCA jacks. With the PVR Plus software supplied you have a function that allows you to take video snapshots for one spy camera only. We recommend the Mini Wireless Color Spy Cam that was used for testing this method but it should work with any spy camera or hidden camera.

They are about the last places anyone wants to be, but about 1.6 million people now live in nursing homes in the United States. Thirty years from now, it’s expected to be 5 million.

Many patients are at risk because one out of four nursing homes every year is cited for causing death or serious injury to a resident, according to government figures.

Because many nursing home residents have limited abilities to communicate, identifying potential abuse requires careful monitoring. Looking for the signs of nursing home abuse requires frequent visits to the nursing home or assisted living facility but of the people working there will know if you are watching or sneaking around trying to catch them abusing your parent or friend.

Because nursing homes are open to visitors an monitored 24/7 by it’s nursing staff a hidden camera is the ideal covert solution to record the activities going on day to day and let you know exactly how your loved one is being treated. This is your best chance for recording and documenting physical abuse of your loved one. The problem with hidden cameras is that they need an external recorder like a DVD or VCR to be connected to the it to record. This surely is not possible in a nursing home or other caregiver location.

A Stand Alone Hidden Camera and DVR allows you to daily see what’s really going on and leaves no tell-tale signs that covert video is being recorded.

These are some steps to follow if you suspect that your loved one is being abused.

• Visit frequently. Vary your visits to different times of the day and evening to assess the care provided during all times of the day, night, weekends, and holidays.

• Buy a Stand Alone Hidden Camera and DVR that will record all covert video surveillance. Motion activated real time video or high-resolution “still shots” are recorded on a tiny SD card, housed in a hidden compartment. All recording are time/date stamped for professional security applications. An Secure Digital card is used to record the covert video and is removable from unit and played on your PC via included SD card reader. Playback speed can be changed to 2X or 4X. No additional PC software needed.
  
• Talk to nurses and aides about your concerns.
  
• Talk to the Director of Nurses, Social Worker and Administrator.
  
• Talk to the doctor.
  
• Call your state survey agency. In each state there is a division of the Department of Health which deals with oversight of nursing homes and enforcement of nursing home regulations. This agency conducts yearly surveys of each nursing home and also investigates complaints filed by family members. Find out who the state licensing agency is from your nursing home. They are required to provide this information to you when your place a resident in the nursing home.
  
• If you believe the nursing home resident is a victim of any form of abuse or neglect by the nursing home you can and should file a complaint with state Licensing and Certification; they are required to investigate your complaint. The Licensing and Certification division of each state may substantiate your complaint; if they do so, the agency has the authority to issue a citation against the facility, impose a fine, and require corrective action.

This article presents 3 methods to directly record and save video surveillance directly on your PC without have to transfer the covert surveillance from a hand held device to your PC or buying an expensive DVR.
