If you watch the History channel and watch the top 10 disasters that will befall the world, the number one prediction that is actual happening today is GLOBAL WARMING. We begin this article with a brief explanation of Global Warming and it’s impact on life on earth and then move on to the worlds first and only command and control system that will help first responders help save lives when disaster strikes.
Global warming is the increase in the earth’s average temperature due to the buildup of CO2 and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere from human activities.
Global climate changes were due to many factors, including massive volcanic eruptions, which increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere; changes in the intensity of energy emitted by the Sun; and variations in Earth’s position relative to the Sun, both in its orbit and in the inclination of its spin axis. Global Warming: Early Warning Signs Illustrates observed consequences, as indicated by periods of unusually warm weather, coastal flooding, and changes in glaciers and polar regions.
If there is coastal flooding in coming years due to melting ice caps, it won’t happen suddenly and give you a tidal wave effect.
Scientists all over the world are making predictions about the ill effects of Global warming and connecting some of the events that have taken place in the pat few decades as an alarm of global warming.
They also report of extreme weather events, long-term droughts, and rising sea levels. Warmer temperatures will alter weather patterns, making it likely that there will be more intense droughts and more intense rain events. Most scientists also agree extreme weather events like Hurricane Katrina or Los Angeles’ July record 119-degree Fahrenheit temperature are directly attributed to global warming. Moreover, extreme weather events, including heat waves, droughts and floods, are predicted to increase in frequency and intensity, causing loss of lives and property and throwing agriculture into turmoil.
And the science tells us that human activity has made enormous impacts to our planet that affect our well-being and even our survival as a species. Many are agreed that climate change may be one of the greatest threats facing the planet.
Scientists have linked even this amount of warming to numerous changes taking place around the world, including melting mountain glaciers and polar ice, rising sea level, more intense and longer droughts, more intense storms, more frequent heat waves, and changes in the life cycles of many plants and animals.
Glaciers are melting, plants and animals are being forced from their habitat, and the number of severe storms and droughts is increasing.
In the next few years we will see great disasters happening right before our eyes in every corner of the world as man made gases continue to be spewed into the atmosphere causing death and pestilence.
Mankind however will not be extinct. People will survive only if there are systems in place that will aid the successful rescue and evacuation of people.

What is the iPod Docking Station?
The Apple iPod docking station is an all-in-one solution to replace your iPod charger and iPod sync cable in a convenient base. The Portable iPod docking station lets you listen to your iPod anywhere. This iPod accessory allows you to connect your video iPod to a TViPod stereo system charges your iPod while it plays. The iPod docking station will charge up the iPod as well.
The actual product from Sony appears to be a nice docking station stereo system. Designed specifically for the Apple iPod, the docking station is compatible with the nanos and minis as well as the full size iPods from the 4th generation on.
But now there is the iPod SecureShot Docking Station All-In-1 Hidden Camera/DVR which is not only fully functional, it’s also the world’s first iPod accessory with a totally covert hidden camera inside with DVR. Great for catching that cheating spouse, misbehaving teenager, thieving employee’s or abusive caregiver.
With the SecureShot iPod docking station hidden camera, security recording made easy and economical with a self-contained totally covert digital video recorder/cameras.
Motion activated real time video or high-resolution “still shots” are recorded on a tiny SD card, housed in a hidden compartment. All recording are time/date stamped for professional security applications. Every system includes a 1Gb SD card. The unit is available in B&W super low light version, down to .003lux minimum illumination or Color. The low light version can see in near darkness.
The iPod DS Hidden Camera is “armed” by simply pressing the power button on the included IR remote control. A short “beep” tone is emitted to verify proper operation. No “tell-tale” extra lights or switches insure a totally covert system. That means your kids or cheating spouse will never know their every move is being watched.
Covert surveillance images/video can be played back directly from the unit by simply connecting the included RCA cable to your TV/Monitor and touching the play button on IR remote control. It also comes with a SD card reader you can watch what’s going on on your PC or laptop.
The iPod SecureShot Docking Station All-In-1 Hidden Camera/DVR is a great covert hidden camera to knowing what your teenagers are into and also nursing home abuse either at home or in a home. Getting evidence on your cheating spouse has never been easier either since all video and still shots are time/date stamped ready to be admitted in court.

The iPhone is one of the sleekest, slimmest and most useful multimedia and communications devices on the market.
Far more than just a phone or a media player, the iPhone in its basic configuration can be used as a sophisticated surveillance device to monitor your house or property.
New iPhone features just unveiled include:
- GPS
- Customized Home Page
- Chapters, subtitles, and languages
- Lyrics
- SMS messages for multiple recipients
But few little people know that the iPhone can now be used to watch your home, kids or even your cheating spouse while your away!
First we give a brief description of what the Apple iPhone is currently used for.
The iPhone is a multimedia, Internet-enabled mobile phone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It has a multi-touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons. The iPhone’s functions include those of a camera phone and a portable media player (‘iPod’), in addition to text messaging and visual voicemail. It also offers Internet services including e-mail, web browsing, and local Wi-Fi connectivity.
The iPhone allows conferencing, call holding, call merging, caller ID, and integration with other cellular network features and iPhone functions. For example, a playing song fades out when the user receives a call. Once the call is ended the music fades back in. Voice dialing is not supported by the iPhone.
The iPhone is able to access the World Wide Web via a modified version of the Safari web browser when connected to a local area Wi-Fi or a wide area EDGE network. The iPhone has taken the frustration out of browsing on a mobile phone, said Charles Wolf, an analyst with Needham & Company.
The iPhone also features a built in 2.0 megapixel camera, without a flash, located on the back for still digital photos, but does not support video recording. It also includes software that allows the user to upload, view, and e-mail photos. The user zooms in and out of photos by ‘unpinching’ and ‘pinching’ them through the multi-touch interface. The software interacts with iPhoto on the Mac and Photoshop in Windows.
There are several applications located on the ‘Home’ screen: Text (SMS messaging), Calendar, Photos, Camera, YouTube, Stocks, Maps (Google Maps), Weather, Clock, Calculator, Notes, Settings, and iTunes. Four other applications delineate the iPhone’s main purposes: Phone, Mail, Safari, and iPod.
Now Here is How the iPhone can be used for Video Surveillance of your home or property:
The power of this lies in a VersaCam LiveView 36IR Wireless Outdoor Camera and the powerful supplied software that used to cost many thousands of dollars but now it truly possible to have an outdoor surveillance camera with features that rival the most expensive surveillance system for a mere fraction of the price.
The receiver is even powered via the USB connection. 36 high power IR illuminators and Sony CCD, 430 LOR camera invisibly allow 50 ft. viewing in total darkness. (FCC approved) VERSATILITY PLUS RECEIVER: VersaCam/36 receiver also includes standard RCA A/V out cable and AC adaptor for connection to a VCR, time/lapse, or DVR. It even can operate USB and RCA type AV/Out SIMULTANEOUSLY. Features auto scan mode for sequencing up to 4 cameras.
It offers motion activation recordings, scheduled recordings and real time Internet viewing. It also will work as a stand rca type receiver you can use with VCR. Other neat features it has digital pan and zoom over Internet view. See more features below.
The VersaCam/36 offers features only imagined by other camera systems. Not only is it a high powered (2000 ft. range) 2.4Ghz wireless weatherproof video/audio security IR camera, but the tiny, metal case, 4-channel receiver and included software allows for direct USB connection to your computer for monitoring, motion activated recording, scheduled recording, and real time Internet viewing from any Inet computer.

Most Internet descriptions show that a hidden camera comes with a wireless receiver for connecting to your TV or old VCR. For one thing VCR’s are a thing of the past. Many people have thrown them out for DVD players, plus you can’t even buy one in the store even if you had to.
Most people want to have remote access to their hidden camera (s) to see what’s going on with their house, kids or elders when ever they are at work.
Here we present 3 sure fire ways to connect 1 or more hidden cameras to your computer.
The first method requires you to have a desktop or tower PC with an open PCI slot on the mother board. You will get the board below and open up your PC and install it. If you feel uncomfortable about messing with your PC, you can also take it to a repair store or a PC clinic. They will be glad to help you out. Just look in your yellow pages or local classified ad’s. Their all around and will only charge you a small amount.
This 4 channel GeoVision DVR card is used in PC’s which allow video to be viewed remotely over the Internet. Other key features include a motion detection chip, high resolution imaging, pan/tilt/zoom control panel, a built in web server and audio recording. The DVR Cards work with Windows 98, 2000 and XP operating systems.
Key Features • Smart Recording Technology • Built-In Motion Detection • Embedded PTZ Palette • Digital Watermark • Real-Time Display Card • Audio Recording

Construction theft is literally and figuratively big business. Construction theft is widespread and nothing new. Builders often start jobs figuring that they will end up a few saws or many two-by-fours short. Construction theft is really big business that even rivals illegal mafia businesses. Construction theft may be a cost of doing business, but owners can take steps to keep the costs down.
Construction theft is also a big target for thieves that is currently a $1 billion market for theft or equipment and building materials. “Professional thieves see construction theft as a low risk, high reward theft opportunity,” said Richard T. Open doors and a long holiday weekend are a bad combination when it comes to construction theft, and that’s something central Missouri plumbing learned first hand when copper disappeared from the site of a new Kohl’s in Jefferson City.
Thefts at homes under construction, such as this one in a subdivision near Leesburg, cost billions yearly. Thefts of all types from construction sites costs the building industry about $5 billion per year, tacking on about 1 billion every year. Theft has a huge economic impact for builders, remodelers, and buyers, so it’s crucial to quash it on owners construction sites. Not surprising, more than 75% of jobsite theft occurs at night and on weekends.
Equipment that cannot be fenced should be disabled at night and on weekends. Equipment chop shops and theft rings are on the rise throughout the U. The thief got away with $20,000 worth of tools, supplies and equipment. Although there is no sure-fire way to prevent construction equipment from being stolen, there are some measures companies can take to deter thieves from sneaking through the cracks. Savvy thieves steal large construction equipment because it’s easier to start than cars.
What makes matters worse is a stolen piece of equipment or material can shut the job down temporarily.
Insurance rates are lower if the owners do more to protect their equipment and higher if they have many losses, he said. And Contrary to the belief of most employees, the insurance carried by the company does not cover “pilferage” of tools and equipment. Contractors, equipment dealers, insurance companies, equipment manufacturers are all at a loss when job sites are vandalized or equipment and materials are ripped-off. Nearly one-third of theft reports are filed on Mondays when workers arrive on sites to find equipment missing. Not surprisingly, the study found that popular equipment makes popular theft targets.
Construction thefts, which are rarely solved, vex authorities, delay construction and jack up builders’ costs and insurance rates and, consequently, home prices.
This is precisely why equipment owners need to have a solid action plan to protect their equipment and their businesses from theft.
Regarding the use of Surveillance Cameras – The idea of being caught on video is a great deterrent to theft. Some builders have installed surveillance cameras on some sites. If they steal or vandalize, they get recorded. If they see the cameras and get spooked, the owners wins big time and still gets to prosecute the would be thieves. On the contrary, hiring guards is too costly to be an option. The best thing about surveillance cameras can be viewed via the Internet from anywhere in the world.
