As the World Economy falters, crime goes up. Since not even the best law enforcement agency in the US can prevent drugs from infiltrating society, population increases or economic woes, you have to realize nothing can prevent crime from happening.

Economic instability can causes people to become afraid, which in turn causes them to look to someone for help; for answers and bold assurances that they have a plan and that everything will be fine. After World War I, the value of German currency fell, and the government printed more money to pay its debts to other nations.

Now with the US economy and world markets in an unstable state and unforeseeable future of our current economy, crime will not exclude anyone, no matter what their status. Personal residences, mom and pop shops, small and large retailers, Fortune 500 companies, the primary difference between how each is effected depends on the steps taken to protect themselves.

Whether it be with a “Beware of Dog” sign, Posted Guards, an on the ball Neighborhood Watch program or Surveillance Cameras, people are beginning to take the necessary steps to ensure the safety of their people, their equipment and their homes/facilities.

Today, there are so many different types of Surveillance Cameras to choose from  cameras and because there are so many different types of cameras to choose from, the odds of finding a camera in the market that will fit your specific situation are really high.

Security cameras have been very effective in combating shop lifting, but there is still alot that shop staff can do to prevent crime or actually arrest people that they catch stealing goods. Security cameras are similar to gun control: both have negligible success targeting criminals. Barring those in dire straights for basic necessities, the criminal element is also an ever-present adversary to police.

A missing child is the worst nightmare and yet I understand that the police don’t have leads and other crime is occurring while they still have the same amount of police to do the work. So although I don’t think anyone would ever want to hear that the case is closed, it seems like it has to happen at some point. A missing child is a matter of money?  

Remember this child is the innocent one…. Remember that time is of the essence. Please return the needed paperwork as soon as possible. Remember, the more people that you have looking for your child, the better your chances of finding him or her. AMBER Alerts have been getting a lot of media attention recently. Under the AMBER plan, when local law enforcement is notified of a missing child case that fits specific criteria, radio and television stations and cable providers are given information to broadcast immediately. Amber Alerts work by sending up to the minute information about missing children and teens across major roadways, highways and transportation systems using flashing road signs. When the lights on an Amber Alert sign are flashing the general public will know that an abduction has occurred and can read the details on the sign as they drive by and/or tune in to a local news station for more information.
