First of all, let’s explain what a dome camera is and what it is used for.
Dome Cameras are a business or even home favorite. Domes camera have the following advantages.
1) Can protect the camera from vandalism and weather changes.
2) Dome cameras don’t let your perpetrators know exactly which way the camera is pointed. The basic dome camera is fixed and hidden inside a smoke-colored dome. Look up to the ceiling in any Wal-Mart or Meijers, and you’ll understand how popular this camera can be.
Dome cameras come in B&W or color versions and the dome is designed to be unobtrusive in a business environment. Because they are shaped like domes, no one thinks there are cameras inside the domes so people ignore it totally.

Network cameras function like computers on your business IP network, moving video around just like email. They reflect a very fast growing market especially since many companies and small businesses are fully wired for Internet access across their premises, and are steadily replacing the traditional cameras like CCTV that are connected using coaxial cable or specialty wiring.
Network cameras like the one shown here offer a  complete wireless surveillance system that includes 4 wireless cameras that can digitally record all activity. The built in DVR has full networking capability which uses a GeoVision DVR card which allows live surveillance video on the Internet. This surveillance video recording system is perfect for smaller areas.
Hidden spy cameras have a small board camera is built into an everyday item. The camera can be wired which means it is connected to the DVR or VCR using a cable or the surveillance video can be sent to a computer through a USB device. A hidden spy camera can also be wireless, in which the spy camera transmits a signal to a receiver that is connected to the DVR or VCR or to a USB device to a computer.
Typical hidden spy cameras include things like baby monitors, alarm radios, CO2 detectors, smoke alarms, mirrors.

The Pocket Spy Camera hidden in a high class cigarette lighter is not only an extremely compact camera but it is also capable of recording voice memos. If you happen to be on a  secret mission and you just happen to remember that you’ve run out of bread or you’ve forgotten to set the DVD recorder to video the latest episode of the General Hospital you can record a reminder.

Many people buy their spy cameras and just monitor the covert surveillance video through their TV or connection it into an out of date VCR, but you can use your computer to monitor the video and audio of your wireless spy camera.
All You Need is a USB 2.0 Device that connects to the receiver end of the spy camera and your computer.
But there are many USB connection devices out there and it’s hard to know which one is most reliable one to use with a wireless spy camera.
We have found the best one. It’s called the USB Video Adapter for PC. And if you already have a spy camera that you want to connect to your computer? No problem! Just purchase a PC Video Capture device.
This is without a doubt the easiest to use, best quality capture device to view you favorite spy camera video with.
The DVD-Maker is an external device which connects your wireless spy camera to your PC or Laptop. Plug the DVD-Maker into the USB port and you’re ready to watch video in a resizable window, right on your PC screen!
DVD-Maker connects to your spy cameras receiver and the other end plugs into your PC or laptop’s USB port. DVD-Maker’s video digitizer turns your analog video into digital video, and then sends 30 digital images per second over the USB (1.1 or 2.0) bus.
You can use this device with a mini spy camera that is stand alone where you can put it anywhere you want. Or you can use it with Hidden Cameras that are concealed in many different ordinary everyday items like a fan, air freshener, smoke detector or teddy bears.
Of all the devices available, the USB Video Adapter for PC is the best devices that will bridge the gap between your wireless spy camera and your computer.
