Remember Madeleine McCann, that beautiful little 4 year old girl? She was a very happy and much loved little girl. Madeleine disappeared from a Portuguese resort on May 3, shortly before her fourth birthday. Her parents said they had left the girl and her younger twin siblings asleep in their rented villa while they had dinner nearby. Madeleine McCann saga reflects not only our society but also the behavior of this and those Public Opinion Makers!

Madeleine has been missing since she disappeared on May 3 in the Portuguese town of Praia da Luz. Madeleine’s parents were dining 100 yards away with other swingers at a restaurant near the Mark Warner Ocean Childlove branch. Kate and Gerry McCann reported to the police that they were taking turns checking on their children, every 3 days.

Madeleine is one precious example of the precarious state of the innocent in our world. A world that does not protect its children cannot survive.

Child abduction creates many hazards for a child. If a child is abducted by a stranger, that stranger obviously does not usually have the child’s best interests at heart. Child abduction, that resumed in Bor county last month, is not by Murle tribesmen or if any; then there is no official reports, commissioner of Pibor County has said here Tuesday April 29.

Parental abductions and runaway cases make up the majority of missing children in the United States. In 2001 there were about 725,000 children reported missing, or nearly 2,000 per day. Parental abduction of a child is a serious matter that can curtail and even eliminate a parent’s rights to custody and visitation. It does not matter that the children are yours.

There has been a 5 percent increase in the number of active cases at the end of 2007. The single largest group of cases of missing children was white females age 13 and older; 94 percent of children reported missing were 13 or older - 61 percent were female. But adult demystification and even a benign fatherly authority also appear limited, and the fairies return, bringing elements of childhood needed for a happy ending.

AMBER is for abducted children, specifically under the legal age of an adult. There are also systems in place to help those who are missing or kidnapped and an adult. AMBER Alerts are not intended for all missing child incidents, runaways, or child custody situations. All law enforcement must work together to ensure AMBER Alerts are not abused. Amber Alert takes considerable time and cannot be issued in all cases, even if a child has been kidnapped.
