The Micro Spy Cam Stick has the following features:

Steps for Setting up the Micro Spy Cam Stick:

Step 1: Insert the Micro SD card by slowly pushing it firmly into the slot until it clicks into place using your finger nail or head of a small paper clip. Make sure you insert the SD Card the correct way by observing the picture above.

Step 2: Set the HOLD button to the off setting

Step 3: Press the power button to ON (shown at the left side). The power on indicator will light on “blue”, which indicates the Mini Spy Cam Stick enters the ‘await orders state’.

Step 4: Press and hold the Record/Stop button down for 3 seconds. The Spy Cam Stick will now record video & voice and the Record light will be flashing green. Note: If you have not inserted the Micro 1GB SD Card supplied, the green light will not flash.

Step 5: Press and hold the Record/Stop button down for 3 seconds to stop recording video & audio.

Note: Do NOT switch the power On/Off button to Off when the Mini Spy Cam Stick is recording because the data will not be saved!

Connect to PC with USB Cable:

Connect the Mini Spy Cam Stick to your computer with the supplied USB cable and press the power On/Off button to ON. The Blue Power Light comes on and the spy cam starts charging and you will see the red verification light flash. Charging 3 hours is necessary to fully charge the Mini Spy Cam Stick.

Once the USB cable connected to your computer you will see a Found New Hardware status message displayed in your taskbar. A removable disk drive will be created allowing you to play the files stored on the Micro SD Card via the computer. The files are in the 3GP QuickTime format. You can download the free QUICKTIME player at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/player/ if not already installed. The QuickTime player will allow you to play the surveillance video & audio as files on the Micro SD card. 

Recording will be selected when the camera is charging via PC or adapter.

Here is a great list of Frequently Asked Questions about the Mini Spy Cam Stick:

• Q: Why are the video files recorded disappearing after turning off the camera?
  A: Check whether the recording button was pushed before turning off the camera. If not, the video files have not been stored on the Micro SD Card.
  
• Q: Why is the Record/Stop button malfunctioning?
  A: Check whether the HOLD button is pressed to ON. (should be OFF)
  
• Q: Why does the “green” led keep shining when the machine is in the working state?
  A: Check whether the Micro SD card is inserted correctly.
  
• Q: Can I use only Apple’s PC? Or any other PC’s to download the recording will do just fine?
  A: Apple PC OK (3gp format play on QuickTime or RealPlayer and both have mac version free downloads.)
  
• Q: Does the NTSC/PAL system applies to digital recording? I will order from Europe and we use PAL system. I normally now that digital recording does not apply to any of this systems, but maybe I am wrong.
  A: NTSC/PAL not relevant in this unit (only in DVRs with component outputs)
  
• Q: I have seen the same offer for the same product and they say it records 30fps. Are we talking about the same product?
  A: Original Manufactures specs incorrectly stated 30fps recording. Some website still have that, but it is 15fps.
  
• Q: Can I order also a portable USB charger as in a device that charges USB devices without a computer, in order to make this camera completely portable? If so can you offer a price?
  A: Portable USB charger will work fine
  
• Q: How much time does it take to charge the battery?
  A: 3 hours charge time from dead start
  
• Q: What is the life expectation for this product? Battery? GB card?
  A: Battery life 2 to 2.5 hours recording per charge (depending on length of each recording) ie: continuous recording uses up power faster than multiple shorter recordings) 1GB SD card records 33 hours. Unit has 80K hour life expectancy. (this is standard for cmos cameras)
  
• Q: Is there any other system at this device that helps me keep the battery for more then 2 hours?
  A: There is nothing “off the shelf” to increase battery life. However, we can add external battery power to meet almost any requirement. The more time required, the larger the battery.
  
• Q: Can I also order another 1 GB SD? And how much will that cost?
  A: We sell 1GB Micro SD cards for $79.99 (with adaptor)
