SpyGearCo: Spy and Surveillance

When you are at another computer you can remote into your PC at home and view your spy camera by using Windows feature called Terminal Services. With most widely used Windows PC operating systems like XP Pro, this is a standard application. This can be done by logging into your PC from Windows XP Pro “Remote Desktop Configuration”. In this article we explain all the steps necessary to connect to the computer that has your spy camera software running.

While the following method described below won’t cost you anything but a few minutes of your time it’s only as good as the Internet service provider you have and the bandwidth they provide to you that your hidden camera or spy camera is connected to. For instance Comcast typically provides 6 MB download. If your service providers speed to too slow, the computer you use to connect to the computer your hidden camera is on the video surveillance may be delayed or not smooth.

Plus, if you loose Internet connectivity on the computer your hidden camera connected to you obviously will loose the video surveillance.

What is the Remote Desktop?

The Remote Desktop, included with Windows XP Professional, enables you to connect to your computer across the Internet remotely from another computer. Once connected, Remote Desktop gives you mouse and keyboard control over your computer while showing you everything that’s happening on the screen with you spy camera connected. With Remote Desktop, you can leave your spy camera attached to your computer and be able to access see what your hidden camera or spy camera see’s by using Remote Desktop in Windows XP Professional.
