Are you aware that most employees are the greatest culprits of profit loss in most business especially the ones who are getting their hours cut due to the severe economic recession/depression. Many savvy employees are very knowledgeable on how their employer’s business functions day in and day out. Employees can steal data or goods and sell them on the street for an illegal profit. Did you ever think maybe those people are stealing food to feed there family’s! If they want drugs they wouldn’t be stealing meat!
Employees can be affected as far as wages even to the point of not being able to get raises. Let’s be very clear here that more theft is often done by employees rather than customers. Employees would inadvertently allow in malware which could put the entire business at risk, or cripple the systems. Employee theft sums were more than 5.6 times greater per incident, averaging $1,842. The total value recovered, including customer and employee theft, was $3 billion.
Internal shrinkage is one of the the biggest culprits of why business go bankrupt, employees are layed off, and benefits and bonuses are cut. Internal shrinkage can be anything as little as taking office supplies home or eating food you are not suppose to. All these little things, aside from common product or cash theft, add up and make a significant impact in a company’s profit margins.
Making businesses more safe in this day and time is made easier with surveillance camera systems. Theft happens in every kind of business from retail to road repair. Also, people come in establishments today and shoot or disable people for life. Whether it is for business surveillance on customers or whether it is to watch your employees these systems will go far to protect your business and maybe your life!
